2022 Forest of Reading Awards close with final round of winners

The Ontario Library Association (OLA) and the Forest of Reading have revealed the final round of winners for the 2022 Forest of Reading Awards. The three-day ceremony, hosted by Ali Hassan, is being streamed on Curio in partnership with CBC Books.

The Forest of Reading is comprised of 10 categories, with 10 nominated titles each. Over 270,000 children read the nominated books and nearly 120,000 voted this year.

Winners in the French-language categories are:

Albertine Petit-Brindamour déteste les choux de Bruxelles, Anne Renaud and Élodie Duhameau, ill. (La courte échelle)

Le prix Mélèze
Honey et Ketchup, Jonathan Bécotte and Sabrina Gendron, ill. (Éditions Québec Amérique)

Le prix Tamarac
Cabane Sinistre, Karine Lambert (Héritage jeunesse)

On Tuesday, May 17, the winners of the Blue Spruce Award, the Red Maple Award, and the White Pine Award were revealed. Yesterday, the winners of the Silver Birch Express Award, the Silver Birch Fiction Award, and the Yellow Cedar Award were announced.
