The Victoria Book Prize Society announced the winners of the 2024 Victoria Book Prizes at an event in the B.C. capital on Oct. 16.

Kathryn Mockler was awarded the $5,000 City of Victoria Butler Book Prize for her short story collection Anecdotes (Book*hug Press).

Raina Delisle was awarded the $5,000 City of Victoria Children’s Book Prize for her nonfiction book Breaking News: Why Media Matters (Orca Book Publishers).

The winners were selected from shortlists announced last month.
