World may not be totally nuts after all

Update: an Ontario Catholic school board has restored David Guterson’s novel Snow Falling on Cedars to its library shelves, after considering one parent’s complaint about “bad language.”

Craig MacBride in The Mississauga News has the story, in which he notes that the complained-about sections “were full of dialogue that contained dozens of curse words, many of them modifying the nouns ‘God’ and ‘Jesus Christ.'”
