All of the authors shortlisted for this year’s Trillium Book Awards read and were feted at an event held on June 11 in the Brigantine Room at Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre.
Poet Margaret Christakos with Dennis Lee, who is nominated for his collection Yesno (House of Anansi Press).
Barbara Gowdy, nominated for her novel Helpless (HarperCollins Canada), with Iris Tupholme of HarperCollins.
Lee, poet Rob Winger, who is shortlisted for his collection Muybridge’s Horse (Nightwood Editions), and Michael Ondaatje.
TLA agent Don Sedgwick, Emily Schultz, shortlisted for her poetry collection Songs for the Dancing Chicken (ECW Press), and her husband, author Brian Joseph Davis.
