The winners of this year’s Canadian Jewish Literary Awards were announced on Sept. 29. Winners in eight categories were chosen from a list of 60 submitted works. Judges included authors Edward Trapunski‚ Michael Posner‚ and Lesley Simpson‚ along with New Jewish Press co-publisher Andrea Knight‚ Holocaust Literature Research Institute director Alain Goldschläger‚ and Ontario Jewish Archives board member Judith Ghert. The following recipients will be celebrated at a gala at Toronto’s York University on Oct. 30.
