Nick Garrison has been promoted to the position of executive editor for Penguin Canada. Garrison started with Penguin in July 2010 to oversee the Hamish Hamilton imprint while publisher Nicole Winstanley is on maternity leave. Garrison previously worked as an editor at Random House Canada and Doubleday Canada, and as a teacher at York University’s publishing program.

According to a press release from Penguin Canada, Garrison will report directly to Winstanley upon her return in July.
