The fine folks at Kids Can Press have shared a letter they received from a young reader.

Jimmy, who lives in Louisville, Colorado, wants to “set things straight” for Binky the Space Cat, the feline star of Ashley Spires’ popular chapter-book series.

Kids Can communication strategist Michaela Cornell says, “We managed to track down the straight-talking Jimmy to his elementary school and let him know that we loved his letter and wanted to share it far and wide ““ he agreed and his entire class wanted to shake his hand.”

Spires, who wrapped up the five-title Binky Adventure series in September, has a new book coming out this April. The Most Magnificent Thing is about a girl and her “canine assistant.”
