Toronto author Stephen Marche’s debut novel, Raymond and Hannah, has been getting some review attention in the U.S., where it’s just been released under Harcourt’s Harvest imprint. (Here at home, Doubleday Canada is the publisher.) New York Times Book Review reviewer Meghan Daum praises Marche’s “dazzling” language and concludes that he’s “produced a work that is both beautiful and confusing. In other words, an honest love story.” And in the Village Voice Literary Supplement, reviewer Rachel Aviv … liked it? Didn’t like it? We’re not sure; you be the judge.
