“I’m stunned to have been chosen as the recipient of this award by my publishing peers, and also to have my name mentioned in the company of the previous winners whom I so greatly admire,” Winstanley said in a press release.

Winstanley was selected as the recipient of this year’s award by a jury comprised of Deborah Dundas, opinions editor at the Toronto Star; Carolyn Forde co-chair of the IV Committee and partner and senior literary agent at Transatlantic Agency; Alana Wilcox, editorial director at Coach House Books and last year’s Ivy Award winner; Kyle Wyatt, editor of the Literary Review of Canada; and TIFA director Roland Gulliver.
