
2022 Trillium Book Award-winning titles
The winners of the Trillium Book Awards were announced at an in-person event in Toronto on June 21.
The awards, now in their 35th year, recognize excellence in Ontario’s writers in both French and English. Winning authors receive $20,000, and their publishers receive $2,500 to promote the winning titles. After two years of celebrating the awards virtually, this year’s event also honoured winners and nominees for the 2020 and 2021 awards.
This year’s winners are:
Trillium Book Award
- Ann Shin, The Last Exiles (Park Row/Harlequin Trade Publishing)
Trillium Book Award for Poetry
- Bardia Sinaee, Intruder (House of Anansi Press)
Prix Trillium
- Robert Marinier, Un conte de l’apocalypse (Éditions Prise de parole)
Prix de Poésie Trillium
- Chloé Laduchesse, Exosquelette (Mémoire d’encrier)
The winning titles were were chosen 16 books shortlisted for this year’s awards.
