Gwen Benaway

Toronto poet Gwen Benaway’s 2018 collection Holy Wild (Book*hug) has been named a finalist in the Trans and Gender-Variant Literature category at the Triangle Awards. Earlier this month the collection was nominated for a Lambda Literary Award in the Transgender Poetry category.

The Triangle Awards are presented by the New York-based queer publishing association the Publishing Triangle. The winners will be announced in New York on April 26.

The four finalists in the Trans and Gender-Variant Literature category are listed below:

• Confessions of the Fox, Jordy Rosenberg (One World/Random House)
• Some Animal, Ely Shipley (Nightboat Books)
• The Soul of the Stranger, Joy Ladin (Brandeis University Press)
