The winners of the 2018 Vine Awards for Canadian Jewish Literature have been announced. Each writer will receive $10,000.
The winners are:
Fiction

Non-fiction
• Siberian Exile: Blood, War, and a Granddaughter’s Reckoning, Julija Sukys (University of Nebraska Press)
History
• The Blue Shirts: Adrien Arcand and Fascist Anti-Semitism in Canada, Hugues Théoret (University of Ottawa Press)
Children’s/Young Adult
• Rare is Everywhere, Deborah Katz (Miss Bird Books)
This year’s jury consisted of health writer Beverley Chalmers, novelist and writing instructor Joseph Kertes, and poet, author, and critic Lee Maracle.
