On Nov. 10, authors, celebrities, socialites, and members of the Canadian publishing community gathered at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Toronto for this year’s Scotiabank Giller Prize gala. This year’s winner was André Alexis, for his novel Fifteen Dogs (Coach House Books).
